Who they are
Paula Howlett's son inspired her journey into online sales for sensory products. Initially diagnosed with ADD, he had a complete breakdown at 8 years old and became non-verbal. He slowly regained his speech and now talks constantly but the boy who loved hugs and would happily go and do anything without complaint now suffers from anxiety and physical touch now hurts his skin.
Paula was thrown in the deep end of autism and she scoured the internet for products that would help her son, especially with his anxiety, and through this she found other parents who were in the same boat. Through research and learning she launched Sensory Hugs to offer other ways to hug and support her son and other children like him. Paula's son is now the product tester and he loves to give his reviews on how helpful a product is!

Sensory hugs sell a range of products designed and chosen to calm anxiety at bedtime or provide sensory relief. With compression sheets and body socks, weighted blankets in different weights and fabrics along with weighted cuddly animal toys and stim accessories, individual needs are met. Paul also offers sensory socks, swings, tents and night lights, all to be ordered online with free delivery within 48 hours.
Paula welcomes feedback and aims to find a product and supply it if it cannot be found on their website.
