After being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 18 and receiving a permanent ostomy bag at 19, Paula turned to fashion as a form of self-expression and empowerment. She quickly gained recognition on social media for boldly styling her ostomy bag as a statement accessory, which smashed the stigma and redefined beauty standards. Drawing from her lived experience and love for design, Paula launched Osto Me Fashion, a brand built by and for 'ostomates'.

Getting used to a new ostomy is difficult. This becomes an almost permanent feature on your body and a daily consideration. Having an ostomy bag can impact your self-esteem, confidence and mental health. Forming a healthy perception of a patient's ostomy is really important, especially in the beginning stages.

The Swim Covers are water-resistant and have a built in drain to release water and they can be worn in the shower. 

All their covers are made from quality fabrics that suit sensitive skin and move with you but stay in place. 

The covers are easy to put on. You simply feed the bottom of your ostomy pouch through the circular opening of the cover and adjust the circular opening around your flange. To finish, smooth the cover around the edges, check for wrinkles and make sure you are comfortable.

Osto Me recommend using the bottom opening to reach in and make any adjustments but be careful not to pull so hard!
