Who they are

Hayley Kellard, Founder of Dotty About Braille was born with a rare genetic eye condition called Wagner's Syndrome, which means she has been visually impaired from birth and has had multiple operations to help improve and save my sight. Hayley has very little peripheral vision and is unable to see in the dark, and also has POTS (Postural Tachycardia Syndrome) which has had a big impact. After losing her job as a buyer and finding it difficult to work a regular full time job she became an entrepreneur and launched Dotty About Braille.

Dotty About Braille has won several awards including the Business Award for Start Up Business of the Year and the Diversity and Inclusion Award for the federation of Small Businesses Awards. Hayley contributes to The Lilac Review, an independant review, backed by the Government, on inequalities faced by Small Business Owners.
