Afraid of getting back in the water?

For many adults, the idea of getting back into the pool with incontinence brings mixed feelings. This sport or leisure activity you once loved might now leave you worrying about leaks, accidents, or you may feel anxious around other people.

Thousands of adults across the UK step away from swimming for exactly these reasons but Kes Vir puts your mind at rest. This incontinence swimwear brand believes that you should never have to give up the activities you enjoy because of your personal needs, especially something as freeing, therapeutic, and joyful as being in the water.

Their specialist designed incontinence swimwear looks and feels like regular swimwear while offering discreet, reliable incontinence support. By creating swimwear to help you return to swimming with confidence, whether you’re heading to a local pool for exercise, attending hydrotherapy sessions, or simply enjoying time splashing in the water on holiday with family and friends.

Ahead of their time

This UK based specialist brand was founded 30 years ago by Daksha Mistry, so they were ahead of their time when it comes to adaptive clothing. The journey began back in 1996, in a spare bedroom. With a background in fashion design and a passion for creating practical yet stylish solutions, Daksha Mistry founded Incy Wincy and later introduced the adaptive swimwear range under the name Kes-Vir.

What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much more meaningful - a brand dedicated to inclusive swimming. The goal has always been clear: to ensure no one has to miss out on the physical and emotional benefits of being in the water due to incontinence or additional needs.

Existing incontinence swimwear often lacked proper fit, discretion, and style. Many designs were bulky, uncomfortable, and impractical. Daksha was determined to change this. With swimwear that works with real bodies, items that are adjustable, easy to change, and designed with both functionality and confidence in mind, Kes Vir’s designs include integrated waterproof support layers and secure waist and leg seals that help contain accidents and manage small leaks.

The result is swimwear that stays comfortable, secure, and unobtrusive so you can focus on what you are doing and not what you’re wearing.

Why the fit matters

When it comes to incontinence swimwear, fit is everything. One standout feature is the adjustable leg openings, a unique element to Kes-Vir that allows for a more customized and secure fit. A secure seal around the waist and legs is essential for the garment to function effectively. If the fit is too loose, it simply won’t provide the necessary protection.

Kes-Vir places a strong emphasis on clear measurement guidance. Helping people find the right size ensures not only better performance and customers consistently highlight how these thoughtful details make a real difference, offering both reliability and confidence in the water.

Swimwear for everyone

Among the most popular items are the boys’ and men’s incontinence swim shorts and the ladies’ incontinence swim briefs. Kes Vir also offer specialized, discreet swim nappies, period-proof swimwear, waterproof swimwear, and clothing designed to aid those with disabilities, special needs and women and girls who don't want to stop swimming just because they have their period.

Their children’s range begins from 3 months and goes up to teenager sizes and their adult caters to all sizes.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Inclusive Swimwear

The future of the incontinent swimwear market is thankfully moving towards inclusivity, dignity, and better design and Kes Vir is leading the way.

As awareness grows around disability and additional needs, so too does the demand for accessible activities and thoughtfully designed products. People want swimwear that not only works but also looks and feels great. Many share stories of how their children previously struggled to participate in swimming lessons or family outings and discovering suitable swimwear at Kes Vir has brought a huge sense of relief.

Daksha told us:

“Knowing their child can swim safely and confidently makes a real difference. Parents also value that our designs look like regular swimwear, helping children feel included rather than different. Hearing that our products help families enjoy swimming together is incredibly rewarding.”

Beyond practicality, parents also appreciate that the designs look like regular swimwear, helping children feel included rather than different.

With continued innovation in materials and fit, brands like Kes-Vir are helping to break down barriers - ensuring more people can access the water comfortably, confidently, and without stigma and that is just one of the reasons we feature them at Never Grey.
