Born from something deeply personal, J’Marie Collective is redefining inclusivity from lived experience.

Growing up without representation and not even knowing the name of her condition until age 32, Founder Jacqueline Stephens spent years struggling with acceptance. Now, having found her voice, she’s turned that journey into purpose: creating something bigger than herself.

J’Marie Collective offers a wide range of inclusive greetings cards featuring original hand-designed artwork portraying people with cerebral palsy, autism, Down's syndrome, wheelchair users and many more.

People with disabilities will no longer be ignored and future generations will see themselves , reflected in cards they receive, ensuring disabled children grow up seen, understood, and celebrated in ways Jacqueline never was.

Thoughtful creation

Officially launched in 2025 after years in the making, the business reflects a thoughtful, intentional growth and Jacqueline appreciates the flexibility running your own business gives her. She told us

“My favourite part is the flexibility to run my own diary and work with my disability, not against it.”

Working with a disability Jacqueline shapes her business model to prioritise her wellbeing alongside her creativity.

J’Marie Collective currently offers original greeting cards but with plans to expand into t-shirts, mugs, and keyrings, there is no end to the mission of visibility and inclusion.

Each design takes around two weeks to move from concept to being available on the website and creative collaboration plays a key role. Two dedicated artists who share Jacqueline’s values for authentic representation work closely with her, helping bring each idea to life.

Real life experience

Authenticity ensures the brand speaks from lived experience, not tokenism. Empowerment reframes disability as strength, not limitation. Representation and belonging sit at the heart of it all, reinforcing the belief that every disabled person deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated exactly as they are.

Following recognition as a Small Business Sunday Award winner, the goal is clear, Jacqueline aims to embed representation into everyday retail spaces to such supermarkets across the UK and eventually worldwide with personalised cards a possibility for the future.

With strong values of integrity and  authenticity, J’Marie celebrates disabled people as fully capable human beings, not objects of pity or charity. They believe every disabled child and adult deserves to see themselves celebrated and valued and we support their endeavours here at Never Grey as this brand continues to grow.
