Loop Earplugs

I love my loop earplugs. I’ve tried others in the past but these help me so much as I have noise sensitivity and experience sensory overload. I mentioned to my good friend, Oli, about them as I think it may also help his epilepsy as too many demands on the senses don’t help him either. Put me into a room full of noise and I miss conversations and you can’t concentrate and my god is it embarrassing if you’re trying to hold a conversation. And the lovely Lizzie from DRUM, wrote a blog about her friend that used them after she had a newborn. They help so many people including, but not limited to;
General anxiety disorder
Loop say ‘Many people find that environmental factors such as noise pollution makes their anxiety worse. For those with noise sensitivity, loud sounds can trigger the body’s fight or flight response, which can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious.’
Seriously, if someone even talks to me or even coughs, I’ve jumped 2ft in the air, my muscles properly tighten and my heart goes crazy! It’s funny to others but not to my body sometimes 😂
Another thing I have, big time, is sensory overload
Loop say ‘when you have sensory overload, Noisy or busy environments – like crowded cafes and bustling streets – can be difficult to deal with as sights and sounds trigger other senses.
That can lead to sensory overload, which can feel uncomfortable, cause anxiety, or make it difficult to focus’.
Honestly I’ve had moments of horrible experiences where my brain simply cannot take it anymore but I’m not good at explaining to people how draining it can really be.
We all know we need better sleep.
So to help this Loop say ‘Most adults struggle to get a good night’s sleep, which can have an impact on mood, cognitive function and overall wellbeing..Loop Dream™ earplugs have been designed to help you get a better night’s sleep. They’re made with memory foam and silicone that fits snugly in your ears even for side sleepers with powerful noise reduction.I know people who use these earplugs purely for sleeping.
When noises are particularly loud or at a particular frequency, for me it’s a low drone, I’m much better but things like the cinema sounds or even a fly buzzing can still affect me. Something that can be caused by various factors, such as autism, migraines and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Now I can’t relate to this, but I do know people with ADHD use them too.
There really are so many people that can benefit from using loop earplugs. So go on Oli, get yourself a pair or maybe I’ll have to treat you to some.
They come in so many colours options and they definitely are never grey.
