Who they are
Designed in Finland by jewellery designer Jenni Ahtiainen Deafmetal was created when her designs went viral from a social media post.
Jenni found the marketing and images around the hearing aids themselves to be 'ugly' and as she had lost her hearing she would be wearing hearing aid for the rest of her life, her jewellery was a beautiful and sudden accident.
Deaf metal is the image Jenni embodies in her personal style and the name reflects 'silent material'.
What they sell
Deaf Metal's wide range covers earrings for hearing aids, earphones and cochlear implants. Their necklaces, as their earrings with chains, are designed so there are no lost hearing aids. Their designs fit the aesthetic from everything from punk to wedding and with designs for adults and children there is something for everyone, for those who are hearing impaired or not!
